On 18 April 2026, representatives of the Malta Chess Federation attended the National Sport Forum 2026, held at the Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa and organised by the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport.
The Federation was represented by Duncan Vella, Jake Darmanin, and Ellie Ghitza, who joined key stakeholders from across Malta’s sporting community.
The forum focused on critical topics shaping modern sport, including good governance, anti-doping, the prevention of match-fixing, and the importance of maintaining a safe and ethical environment for all participants. Contributions were delivered by leading figures such as Antonio Mizzi, David Agius, Kevin Azzopardi, Sihon Gauci, Sandro Camilleri, and Andy Grech.
Participation in the forum reflects the Malta Chess Federation’s ongoing commitment to upholding integrity, transparency, and ethical standards, while continuing to play an active role within Malta’s wider sporting landscape.
